สิ่งที่ได้เรียนรู้ในห้องเรียน

            ไวยากรณ์ (Grammar ) เป็นพื้นฐานหลักหรือเรียกได้ว่าเป็นการเปรียบเสมือนกระดูกสันหลังของการเรียนรู้วิชาภาษาอังกฤษของสำหรับเรื่องไวยากรณ์นั้นจะเป็นตัวเชื่อมโยงลงไปสู่การแปลภาษาอังกฤษเป็นภาษาไทย ซึ่งการแปลประโยคให้มีภาษาที่สวยงามมีความสละสลวยได้นั้น มีความจำเป็นที่ต้องมีความเข้าใจเกี่ยวกับเรื่อง Adverb  clauseไวยากรณ์พื้นฐานที่ดิฉันไม่เข้าใจ ดังนั้นจึงมีความจำเป็นต้องรู้เกี่ยวกับหน้าที่ ประเภทของ Adverb clause มาเชื่อมโยงการแปลเพื่อการแปลภาษาอังกฤษเป็นภาษาไทยที่ควรแปลให้ดีและเมือ่แปลงานออกมาแล้วจะได้ภาษาสละสลวยและผู้อ่านสามารถอ่านแล้วเกิดความประทับใจในการอ่านงานแปลชิ้นนั้นๆอย่างมีความสุขและมีความประทับใจ ดังนั้นในคาบเรียนวิชาการแปลจึงได้มีการจัดการเรียนรู้แบบการเน้นผู้เรียนเป็นสำคัญ โดยมีการสรุปประเด็นความรู้เกี่ยวกับเรื่องนี้

การลดรูป adverb clause

         adverb clause สามารถลดรูปเป็นกลุ่มคำประเภทต่าง ๆได้ดังนี้

         12.4.1 Present or Past Participial Phrase

                    adverb clause of time, adverb clause of reason/cause, adverb clause of concession/contrast, adverb clause of condition สามารถลดรูปโดยมีรายละเอียดดังนี้

                    1) ลดรูปได้เมื่อประธานของ adverb clause และ main clause  เป็นตัวเดียวกัน

                    2) ใช้ present participial phrase (V-ing) ในกรณีที่ประธานเป็นผู้กระทำกริยา

                    3) ใช้ past participial phrase (V-ed) ในกรณีที่ประธานเป็นผู้ได้รับผลของการกระทำ  

ข้อสังเกต

          - การลดรูป adverb clause of time  จะละ หรือ เก็บคำนำหน้า   when, while, before, after ก็ได้

ประโยคที่ใช้ adverb clause of time	วิธีการลดรูป adverb clause เป็น present/past participle
When they were enjoying gambling , they were not aware of the approach of the police attack.	When they were enjoying gambling , they were not aware of the approach of the police attack. Enjoying gambling , they were not aware of the approach of the police attack. ( ละคำนำหน้า when) When enjoying gambling , they were not aware of the approach of the police attack. ( ไม่ละคำนำหน้า when)
While the worker was drilling the road, he happened to find a human skull.	While the worker was drilling the road , he happened to find a human skull. Drilling the road , the worker happened to find a human skull. ( ละคำนำหน้า While) ในกรณีที่เก็บคำนำหน้าไว้   สามารถที่จะนำ participial phrase ไปไว้หลัง main clause ได้   แต่ถ้าละคำนำหน้าจะทำไม่ได้ While drilling the road , the worker happened to find a human skull. The worker happened to find a human skull whiledrilling the road .

         - การลดรูป adverb clause of reason/cause  ต้องละคำนำหน้าและวาง participial phrase   ไว้ต้นประโยคเสมอ  

ประโยคที่ใช้  adverb clause of reason/cause	ประโยคที่ใช้  adverb clause of reason/cause

         -  ในกรณีที่ประธานเป็นคนละตัวกัน   สามารถลดรูป adverb clause of reason/cause โดยเก็บ
ประธานของ participial phrase ไว้ได้ กลุ่มคำชนิดนี้เรียกว่า   absolute phrase

Mr. Pacquiao, a world boxing champion, is considered the underdog in the coming election because his rival comes from a powerful clan .	Mr. Pacquiao, a world boxing champion, is considered the underdog in the coming election because his rival comes from a powerful clan. His rival coming from a powerful clan , Mr. Pacquiao, a world boxing champion, is considered the underdog in the coming election. ( ต้องวาง participial phrase ไว้ต้นประโยค และอย่าลืมเติม comma ระหว่างประโยคด้วย )

          - การลดรูป adverb clause of concession และ adverb clause of condition นั้น ประธานของ adverb clause ทั้ง 2 ประเภทต้องเป็นตัวเดียวกับ main clause โดยคำกริยาของ adverb clause มักอยู่ในรูป passive voice และจะต้องเก็บคำเชื่อมไว้   อย่างไรก็ตาม การลดรูป adverb clause ทั้งสองประเภทนี้เป็นการใช้อย่างไม่เป็นทางการ
